Does anyone know where this quote came from?
"Who you are is God's gift to you; who you become is your gift to God."
Danny used it with us lots in high school, but I can't remember if he got it from somewhere or if it's some anonymous quote.
At any rate, if anyone has any ideas, that would be wonderful! Thanks.
Aaaaaaand....HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUI!! Nearly forgot, but hope your day is a good one!
Peace,
Jane

Nope, but google finds a few more results for "Who you are is God's gift to you; what you make of yourself is your gift to God" than for your version. Not sure if that helps at all.
bah. that's not what i remember. and most of them are sermons that i found. i found many "what you are"'s, and i think that's ridiculous to call someone a 'what'. at any rate, that's a rant...
well its better to call them a 'what' than a 'knarlphunk'. I hate being called that.
Its great to see that phrase again - I'd totally forgotten about it. I had a nice long 'oh yeah!' moment there. Thanks Jane :)
I found that it might be a Sufi proverb...but who knows how reliable the source is...the internet being as it is. But hopefully that helps.
Also, I've tried to post about 3 times in this comments section and each time it failed...pretty frustrating I guess, but just thought you should know.
Tony and I are going off to play some golf here in Edinburgh...should be a great time.
Adios
